GAA Welcomes Beaver Street, H.J. Baker
The Global Aquaculture Alliance welcomes two U.S.-based companies as its newest members.
Beaver Street Fisheries is a new GAA Governing Member. Beaver Street is a leading importer, manufacturer and distributor of frozen seafood from the United States and around the world. For more than 60 years, it has provided quality products to the foodservice market and more recently to the retail market.
The Florida, USA-based company—known for its long-running Sea Best retail brand of frozen seafood—offers a wide range of products, from shrimp, lobster tails, Pangasius, tilapia and shellfish to a variety of value-added items. Beaver Street’s repacking facilities are certified under the Best Aquaculture Practices program for shrimp, tilapia and channel catfish.
GAA also welcomes H.J. Baker and Brothers Inc. as a new Governing Member. H.J. Baker, which recently sponsored GOAL 2014, is an international importer, exporter, manufacturer and sales agent mobilizing global resources. Its products improve the availability and quality of food. Whether it is feed efficiency for poultry, swine or aquaculture, or fertilizer tailored for every crop, the result is the same —more people are fed with fewer resources.
